Sunrise Brooklyn Proposal Shoot with Brandon and Ashley

Ashley reached out to me online asking about couples photography. She said her boyfriend Brandon had a few ideas he wanted to run by me. They were going to visit NYC from South Carolina. The city is one of Ashley's favorite places and she used to live there. Brandon wanted to make their visit extra special with a surprise proposal! What a dream!

Brandon really wanted to shoot in Brooklyn. I asked him if they would be up for a sunrise shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge and they totally were! I had never seen a proposal on the bridge and thought it would just be heavenly. Brandon and I were on the same page about the cue to propose, which was for me to bring up Brooklyn Pizza!

We met at a Starbucks by the Brooklyn Bride entrance right after 5am. I was so excited I could barely sleep the night before. It was amazing being in the city without all of the crowds running amuck; I loved the atmosphere! We grabbed some coffee and began our walk onto the bridge walkway. It was my first time walking on the Brooklyn Bridge and I was just in love with this whole morning! Take a look at our shoot below and learn more about Ashley & Brandon's story!

When I asked them to share their story, Ashley responded with the following;

"Brandon and I met on Nov 10, 2016 at our job, AT&T. I was the newbie and he was the stores best selling rep. Our store manager placed me with him so that I could learn best practices. We hit it off right away and our love story began. To this day, we consider November 10 our anniversary!

7 months after meeting, I moved to NYC to pursue my millennial dream of living in the Big Apple. We were devastated to separate and be so far apart, but this was always my dream and I had to make it happen!

In my 2.5 months of staying in NYC, we visited each other 4 times! We couldn’t stay away. So after we realized we were paying rent in plane tickets, we decided to come back together and officially start our lives together by getting our own place.

I left NYC and went back to SC which is where we are both from, and where he was recently promoted. Because I didn’t have a real job yet, it was easier for me to move. Brandon promised me that we’d visit the city every year no matter what so I could always get my fix haha! He’s kept his promise and even planned a special trip to do a “couples photo shoot” so we can have pictures for the house. He proposed to me in the middle of our shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge *cries*

We plan to elope in Vegas for our 3 year anniversary this November.

We are both very ambitious and have lots of ideas we want to implement and then into businesses so that we can create generational wealth for our families!

We plan to add a little one by 2020 if it’s in God’s will!

We’ve witnessed our love grow to something unbreakable and we truly are best friends. I look forward to every day with my other half!"

(Cue the crying) How sweet is their story?! What I love about their love; it spans over years, states, and jobs. The way they look at each other is just captivating and their love is palpable. There were no concerns when they were together; it was just them in the moment! I am so happy to be a part of this special occasion and I will never forget them! Wishing them a lifetime of happiness and of course, plenty of Brooklyn Pizza!
