Their Wedding: Waldwick, NJ
Nicole and Albert decided to get married with an intimate wedding ceremony instead of postponing their wedding due to the coronavirus. In one of the very few COVID responsible weddings that I've seen, they had close family with one or two friends, and the remainder of their guests tuned in via webcam to watch them tie the knot! It was such a beautiful summer afternoon and I'm so excited to share their day that includes one of my absolute favorite portrait sessions, but first, more about their love story!
How They Met: Albert and Nicole met at Sports World, an indoor amusement park, on Route 17 in New Jersey and were introduced by a mutual friend. Albert said he first noticed how pretty Nicole was and Nicole noticed how gorgeous Albert's eyes were. She said she melted! (cue swooning!!!)
Their Proposal: I love how Albert surprised Nicole with a proposal! Here's how she describes the day; "So for some reason I wanted professional photos done of Albert and myself. Albert asked his old coworker (who is also an amateur photographer) to take photos of us, unbeknownst to me he told his coworker he wanted to use this opportunity to propose. We decided to take the pictures at the Harriman State Park in Sloatsburg, NY. Towards the end of the photoshoot the photographer gave Albert the signal to "pop the question" I was in such a state of shock that I didn't answer right away, but I did ask if he asked my father. 😂 Once he told me he did, that's when I said "Yes." there were many laughs from my initial reaction, plus tears of happiness." That's so sweet! Good on Albert for wanting to get those memories documented!
About Their Love: Nicole loves how Albert will go to the ends of the earth to make her happy. She said he is so caring and can always make her laugh. She loves the excitement of being with him and not knowing what will adventures will come next! Albert loves that Nicole is such a hard worker and how persistent she is. He said she keeps him grounded and prevents his head from getting too big!
Albert and Nicole love spending time together. Whether running errands or curling up in bed to watch a show together, they just love being with one another! Although Nicole doesn't feel like much has changed so far other than calling each other husband and wife, she loves that she gets to spend the rest of her life with her best friend! Albert's favorite thing about being married is the same thing. Soulmates, much?!!?
Nicole & Albert: I can never forget your wedding day! My favorite part was your portrait session. I got to see how much fun you two have together and how well you get along. It really reminds me of my relationship with my husband. It's such a special bond and it's such a blessing to have!!! Don't let go of it! I'm also going to do my darnedest to get you two to do a session with my parents' dalmatian Buddy at the Waldwick Fire Department!
